Anyway after preventing Turbo Boost, it has never happened again. I measured the Geekbench score on how much performance I would be losing turning off Turbo Boost. It isn't anything major in multi-core score but the difference in single-core is about 35%. (~950 down from ~1300) However, it's not noticeable at all during normal usage.
